Overall Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the Business Service Associate （Global Catalog Request Handler
） position is to monitor the Global Catalog Mailbox and move requests for cat
alog changes/updates to the appropriate group mailboxes for completion while k
eeping the appropriate tracking spreadsheets and documentation. The Global Ca
talog Request Handler will use various tools and job aids to ensure the reques
ts are submitted by the appropriate individual or groups and in determining wh
ere to route the requests for action
Responsibilities:
General:
? Under general direction, supports the development, enhancement, and main
tenance of business solutions using information technology based on customer n
eeds
? Promotes and directs process improvement activities as required
? Researches, identifies and develops solutions to problems. Resolves most
problems and escalates only the most complex issues to supervisors
Job-specific:
? Under general direction, monitors group mailboxes to ensure timely routi
ng and response to incoming requests
? Analyzes incoming requests to ensure adherence to template requirements
? Analyzes incoming requests to ensure submission from authorized group of
submitters
? Operational responsibility for maintenance of tracking log spreadsheets
and documentation according to established guidelines
? Distribution of correspondence regarding disposition of requests when re
quired
? Distribution of requests based upon guidelines established and job aides
provided
? Escalation of non-standard requests when received to management
Qualifications/Experience
Pre-requisites for the position include:
? Excellent written and spoken English required
? Willingness to proactively accept responsibility, drive change and make
decisions as required
? Ability to work effectively independently, with little management superv
ision.
? Experience working effectively as part of a geographically-disbursed tea
m
